STEM Advisors is an advisory firm based in New York City and founded by Daniel Cohen.

Daniel has advised numerous companies at different stages of growth across varied industries, leveraging his wide range of experiences as a start-up CEO, corporate executive, board member, and investor.

Originally trained as a lawyer in England, Daniel managed Business Affairs for Warner/Chappell Music Publishing and BMG Records before joining the founding team of Musiwave, SA, an innovator in the ringtone space.  At Musiwave, Daniel was responsible for all content licensing as well as managing the UK business from London.  Daniel was a key member of the team that successfully managed the acquisition of Musiwave by Openwave, Inc. Following the acquisition, Daniel relocated to the USA with his family, to serve as Head of Musiwave Americas at Openwave. A year later, he was  invited to join Dada Entertainment as Vice President, Business Development (a joint venture with Sony Music which pioneered the direct to consumer distribution of music and other mobile content in the USA.) Dada Entertainment merged with Buongiorno SpA, and as CEO of Dada Entertainment in North America, Daniel was responsible for multiple years of double digit revenue growth.

Following the acquisition of Buongiorno by NTT Docomo, Daniel focused on transforming the US business, shifting its focus to mobile games publishing, under the Thumbspire brand.  Thumbspire’s games were downloaded millions of times and generated multiple millions of dollars in revenues for both Thumbspire and their developers.

As well as skiing and soccer, Daniel loves food and eating out in New York City.  He has combined those passions into a podcast he writes, records and produces in his spare time.
